Our signature Pinot Noir made from our 2015 harvest of 100% organically grown pinot noir grapes. The wine was produced on-site, and moved a total of several hundred feet from vine to bottle, then aged in barrels for 18 months.
Our Pinot Noir is truly exceptional, and is currently served at a handful of world-class restaurants including Chez Panisse. In 2012 Alice Waters served our 2009 Pinot Noir at President Obama's inaugural dinner.
Vintage Details Harvested: September 24, 2015 Vineyard: Labyrinth Total Production: 117 cases Brix at Harvest: 26 Alcohol: 13.7% Interesting notes: 2015 was a fairly dry season in the Russian River Valley, resulting in lower yields across the board. However, as Wine Spectator noted, the nearly 100° summer temps gave 2015's Pinot Noirs explosive aromatics, great concentration and very fine-grained tannins. This is one of our best vintages.
